20140319 SWS Ramblers Pagham and Siddlesham

Walk Leader Neville
South West Sussex Ramblers
Start gridref: SZ 880 976 Start time: 10:30am Distance: 5 miles
Probably nearer six miles(My walk back to the RSPB was 7.2miles)
Little Welbourne, Pagham Wall, Street End.

What a walk, the ground was drying nicely although the wind was slightly chilled. The distance and pace was very gentle with three new walkers. Thankfully the coffee break was in a sheltered locaation and the lunch break was back near Siddlesham Quay.

A very nice place for Lunch

This was a good day for Bird watching and to see a Grey Heron gathering for his nest was something special.

This Shell Duck seem to pose for quite a while

This Little Egret made no attempt to leave either

Thank you for a nice walk Neville

20140308 SWS Ramblers Hambrook, Adsdean, Kingley Vale, Walderton

Walk Leader Linda GB
South West Sussex Ramblers
Start gridref: SU 787 069  Start time: 10am   Distance: 9.6 miles
 Hambrook, Adsdean, Kingley Vale, Walderton

Very Enjoyable and gentle walk with a little mud, a few stiles and one steady (gentle) climb.  The pace was tranquil on this sunny spring day.

These photos do not do Kingley Vale any justice on a lovely day like this. Especially when looking down the artillery range.

Eighteen of us enjoyed todays walk. First Class.

Now for dinner tonight I think PORK CHOPS mmmmmmmm  ahhhhh
and for breakfast tomorrow Rashers :-)
